Difference between a Primary Source and Secondary Source with examples

Primary Source vs Secondary Source with examples

Information from a regulated authority such as the FCA, PRA and Companies House are considered to be primary sources. This is because such sources are audited and regulated by a governmental body. Which means these sources have often conducted a check on the entity and have verified their identity and other vital information.

Information from these websites tend to be reliable and true. Information from non-regulated websites and systems such as the companies own website, one source, Lexis Nexis, Hoover including attestations are secondary sources as they are not regulated information.
